These Terms & Conditions apply to workshops booked through our website warsawlikealocal.com and through our online booking system.

We encourage you to read these terms before making a booking : )

1. Organiser

2. Workshop

We offer workshops in Warsaw, Poland. The exact type, date, time, duration and price of each workshop are shown on the booking page before payment.

Unless stated otherwise, the workshop price includes:

• participation in the workshop,
• ingredients used during the workshop,
• tasting,
• drinks.

The price does not include transport to or from the workshop location.

3. Booking and Payment

Bookings are made online through our booking system, Koalendar.

Payment is made in advance through Stripe. A booking is confirmed only after successful payment.

After booking, the participant should receive a confirmation by email from Koalendar and/or Stripe.

Prices shown on the booking page include applicable taxes, unless stated otherwise.

4. Workshop Location

The workshop takes place in a private apartment with an approved kitchen in Warsaw.

The general address may be shown on the website. The apartment number and any additional access details will be provided after booking.

The workshop location is on the second floor and there is no lift. If you have any accessibility concerns, please contact us before booking.

5. Cancellations and Refunds by Participants

You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled workshop start time and receive a full refund. To do this, please write us an email at hello@warsawlikealocal.com with your name and the date of the workshop.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled workshop start time, or if you do not attend the workshop, no refund will be provided, unless required by applicable law.

You may contact us via email to ask about changing your booking to another date. We may offer a date change at our discretion, subject to availability. A date change is not guaranteed.

Due to the specific date and limited capacity of the workshop, cancellation and refund rules are set out in this section. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under Polish or EU law.

6. Cancellation by the Organiser

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop for reasons beyond our control or where it is reasonably necessary.

If we cancel a workshop, we will offer you either:

• a full refund, or
• the option to attend the workshop on another available date.

7. Late Arrival and No-Show

Please arrive on time.

If you arrive late, you may miss part of the workshop. We are not required to extend the workshop or repeat missed parts.

If you do not attend the workshop, the booking is treated as a no-show and no refund will be provided, unless required by applicable law.

8. Children and Participants Under 18

Children may attend the workshop, but the workshop is a cooking lesson and some activities may not be suitable for very young children.

Participants under 18 must attend with a participating adult. The adult is responsible for the child during the workshop.

9. Allergies and Dietary Requirements

If you have any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements, you must inform us during the booking process or contact us before the workshop.

We will try to prepare suitable options where possible. However, we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free kitchen.

Ingredients used during workshops may include, among others:

• gluten,
• dairy,
• eggs,
• nuts,
• sesame,
• soy.

Cross-contamination may occur.

10. Safety During the Workshop

Participants may use kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, ovens, hot trays and other cooking equipment.

By attending the workshop, you agree to follow the host’s safety instructions at all times.

You must act with reasonable care and attention during the workshop. Anyone behaving unsafely, aggressively or under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be asked to leave without a refund.

The workshop involves normal kitchen-related risks, such as minor cuts, burns, slips or allergic reactions. Participants agree to act with reasonable care and follow the host’s instructions. We are not responsible for injuries, allergic reactions or damage resulting from a participant’s negligence, failure to follow instructions, or failure to inform us about relevant allergies or health issues, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Additional safety rules may be provided and signed at the workshop location before the session starts.

11. Food Prepared During the Workshop

Food prepared during the workshop is part of an educational experience.

Depending on the workshop, participants may be able to take some food home. After leaving the workshop location, participants are responsible for the proper storage and consumption of any food they take with them.

12. Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings.

We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items, unless the loss or damage was caused by our intentional fault or as otherwise required by applicable law.

13. Photos and Marketing

We may take photos or short videos during the workshop.

We will only use identifiable photos or videos of participants for marketing purposes, such as on our website, social media or booking platforms, with the participant’s consent.

The publication of materials will only take place after the written consent of the workshop participant.

14. Personal Data

We process personal data only for purposes related to workshop organisation, booking, payment, communication and safety.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Bookings are managed through Koalendar. These providers may process personal data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Liability

The workshop involves normal kitchen-related risks, including minor cuts, burns, slips or allergic reactions.

Participants agree to follow all safety instructions and inform the host immediately about any injury, accident, allergy issue or unsafe situation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not allowed under applicable law.

We will try to respond as soon as reasonably possible.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version that applies to your booking is the version available at the time of booking, unless changes are required by law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. This does not deprive consumers of any mandatory protection they may have under the laws of their country of residence.
